If you have a Mac, don’t despair, you can also play Angry Birds. Rovio (who created the Angry Birds game) have released a Mac version which you can purchase from the Apple store.

The Mac version of Angry Birds is quite similar to the original iPhone one, however the graphics have been improved to take advantage of the better processors on desktop systems. You will be able to play the game on your Mac in a much higher resolution that you are previously used to.

To play, you simply use your mouse, and left click instead of dragging your finger across the screen. It works just as well, and does not take any of the fun factor (that you know so well) out of the game.

So if you have a Mac OS X, head over to the Apple Store and purchase Angry Birds for your Mac.

Playing any puzzle game can give your brain a tremendous workout. This helps improve both memory and mind acuity. Angry Birds in particular, requires abstract thinking in order to pass a level. You have to not only knock down the green pigs, but you only have four birds to do this, which requires quite intense concentration and skill.

Some of the main benefits when playing Angry Birds on your Android include:

  • Increased problem solving abilities
  • Multi-tasking or doing a few things at the same time
  • Managing your resources (birds) so that you can successfully kill the pigs
  • You will improve your hand-eye co-ordination, like just playing most games
  • Overall strategies
  • Perseverance, or keeping at it. Never give up!

Well there you go. There are a myriad of benefits just by playing Angry Birds on your Android smartphone. Have at it!

The new update to Angry Birds Rio finds the birds fighting monkeys, as well as freeing birds. There is a lot more sand, and nice sunshine. Various beach items like beach umbrellas, inflatable rings and special golden fruit make an appearance.

Angry birds Rio initially appeared in March to coincide with the animated movie called Rio. The movie is about a macaw who goes off on an adventure to, yep you guessed it, “Rio” de Janeiro.

You can check out our angry birds walkthroughs if you get stuck on a level.

It’s a really cool cover of the angry birds theme song. Check it out.

Pomplamoose FTW.

Announced at the Blackberry World Conference, Rovio plans to release Angry Birds on the Blackberry Playbook tablet. Likely to be released sometime in the summer, though no date has been set.

This can only be a good thing for the ailing Playbook.
